What is stress? It is our response towards changes to adapt to the continually changing environment.

Are we need stress? Yes, it plays a positive role by motivating us to perform better I our tasks. However, excess or prolonged stress can produce negative impact as a sequence can cause detrimental to our health.

4 different stresses:

1. Physical stress
Our body becomes tired & exhausted after heavy physical activities.

2. Mental stress

Which affect our feeling, emotion and behavior.

3. Oxidative stress
Is the stress imposed on the body by free radicals. The source of stress can be external (UV radiation, pollution, etc.) or from us (in time of stress).

4. Metabolic stress
When we getting illness (fever, infections, etc.)

Ways of reducing stress

1. To exercise regularly

2. Relaxation (e.g: going for a vacation)

3. Get enough sleep, at least 6 hours


4. Change your diet to stress free diet. E.g: fresh fruits, vegetables, and fibre)

5. Dietary supplements (e.g: B complex vitamins, vitamin C, and minerals)

6. Perform prayer and read Al-Quran for Muslim. For non-Muslim, according to respective religious worship way.
